It’s been forever since my last post, but now I’m ready to talk about the combat system (especially since the UI is now looking much better). As I mentioned before, it functions much like Final Fantasy Tactics — each character gets turns in order according to their speed, and they get to Move and Act once per turn.
They can Move or Act in any order. Move looks like this:
An Act is using a weapon, ability, or item. Since our Player can’t reach the enemy yet he should use his ability, Charge:
This particular ability moves the character forward and then attacks. Currently it can only go forward 1 square, but someone who spends XP to rank up their Charge ability can reach way further.
