Here is the core of character progression — Classes. Each character has a Class that grants 7 usable abilities, as well as a number of stat boosts. When you earn XP, you can only spend it on abilities and stats related to that class.
It’s been forever since my last post, but now I’m ready to talk about the combat system (especially since the UI is now looking much better). As I mentioned before, it functions much like Final Fantasy Tactics — each character gets turns in order according to their speed, and they get to Move and Act once per turn.
With Depths of Boatmurdered wrapped up, it’s time to launch headfirst into the next game. Specifically, Unnamed Tactics RPG!!
I’m going to be logging my development, um… adventures here at Rad Codex. But before we embark on that journey, we’d better look at our (metaphorical) map to see where we are, and more importantly, where we’re headed.
